Clearing the Easement ​ 

December 3, 2017 - Several CLT members pitched in to clear debris from our recently acquired easement. A working farm of more than fory years accumulates a fair amount of junk that must be removed as part of the conservation agreement with ​benefactors. A part of our handiwork:


August 2017 - Patricia Bandzes of Eversource Energy presented a check to Colchester Land Trust (CL​T) president Andy George, with First Selectman Art Shilosky on hand. 

June 2017 - The Colchester Land Trust advocates for land conservation through the preservation o​f undeveloped land, natural resources and local biological species. This year the Colchester Land Trust Scholarship Committee selected Lauren Constant as the 2017 scholarship recipient.​

June, 2017 - Local award-winning artist Gigi Horr Liverant and Colchester Land Trust co-hosted an open studio and art sale on June 24th at 43 School Road, Colchester with sales benefitting the Colchester Land Trust and its 200 Acre Farm and Forest Campaign.    

Febuary 11, 2017 - The Land Trust "Winterbrau" fundraiser was a resounding success. The Fat Orange Cat provided ample samplings of their local craft beers to wash down the barbeque, smoked meats, and fine hors d'oeuvres provided by CLT.   

August 25, 2016 - the Colchester Land Trust (CLT) closed on a major aquisition of 115 ​acres with the help of a 30-month low interest loan from The Conservation Fund. ​

July 27, 2016 - Colchester Land Trust (CLT)  announced it had reached an agreement with two Colchester lan​​d owners that will result in the conservation nearly 200 acres in town.
