A TRAIL OF TWO CITIES

Join board member Scott Sivek on Sunday May 18, 2025 at 9 am as he takes you on two local trails. This hike will start at Bulkeley Hill Preserve three mile trail. Then walk to Hayward Reserve for another two, then back to the Siveks between the trails for an outdoor gathering.

About the event
Join board members Scott and Liza Sivek on Sunday May 18, 2025 at 8 am as Scott takes you on two local trails. This hike will start at Bulkeley Hill Preserve, Colchester, covering all three miles of the trails. Then walk a mile on Bulkeley Hill Road and O'Connell Road into East Haddam. There, hike the two miles of trails at Hayward Reserve, an East Haddam town property with views of a horse farm.
Finally walk back to The Sivek’s on Bulkeley Hill Road for a light lunch and informal discussion about the local trails and Land Trust efforts with other CLT board members and volunteers, or just to socialize. The gathering is optional and also open to non-hikers.
Total hike distance is approx. 6-7 miles including walking between properties. Approx. 2 hours on trails. Walk back to the Preserve lot from the Siveks' is approx. a quarter mile.
