“We should not forget that it will be just as important to our descendants to be prosperous in their time as it is to us to be prosperous in our time.”―Theodore Roosevelt.
Monthly Discover Colchester Hikes
Colchester Land Trust typically conducts its 'Discover Colchester' outings on the first Sunday of each month at 1:00pm although we have been mixing things up this year with some non-hike events, as well as some evening and Saturday excursions and outings. All are free, open to the public, and designed to introduce adults and children to the many special places that make Colchester such a pleasure to call home.
Can't run our Salmon River Race? Walk it!
Come join us on Sunday, November 9th, 1:00 to 3:00, at the Comstock Bridge on the Salmon River (Rte 16). We'll take a brisk walk of the race course... a lovely jaunt along country roads and the Airline Trail. (Note: this was formerly scheduled for the 10th, but has changed to the 9th.)
Coming up in November: stargazing at Cold Spring Farm, starting at 5:00
Annual Salmon River 5.5 Mile Run
The Colchester Land Trust conducts an earth-friendly road race each May on the Saturday before Mother's Day. The 'hybrid' race features a variety of terrain, gorgeous scenery, and a post race feast that cannot be beat! For more information, please visit the race page at: or contact race directors, Cathy Shea at email@example.com.

Next Meeting: Tuesday, September 10th, 2019 at 7:00pm - Town Hall
The Colchester Land Trust regularly meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm at the Colchester Town Hall. Our meetings are open to the public and all are welcome and encouraged to attend. The Colchester Land Trust annually devotes one of its meetings to a social gathering of all friends, members, and interested citizens. Typically taking place in the month of June, the annual friends and members meeting is a wonderful venue for getting to know the officers, board members, general membership, partners and others involved with your local Land Trust. It is a great way to learn what we've been up to, to celebrate our accomplishments over the year and to learn more about current projects.
