About the event
The Colchester Land Trust is organizing a new Trail Crew monthly volunteer event.
An organizational meeting will be held at Cragin Library on September 9th at 6:00pm.
Our first work party will be Sunday, September 21 at Bulkeley Hill Preserve. We will meet at 1:00 at our new outdoor classroom.
The group will perform stewardship activities on the land trust's properties each month. The work will vary from simple monitoring to tree cutting activities. This should appeal to all people who enjoy outdoor activities, regardless of skill level.
Young adults who are interested in studying Environmental Sciences may benefit from participating and learning about forest management plans and other stewardship activities. This is a great opportunity for families to spend some time outside in the woods over the winter months. Participants under 16 years of age should have an adult accompany them
